Pet and Animal Policy

Welcome to our community! We are committed to ensuring a harmonious living environment for all our residents, and that includes our furry friends. It’s essential that everyone is aware of and adheres to our pet and animal policies, as this fosters a sense of shared responsibility and helps us maintain accurate records for everyone’s benefit.

We welcome pets on a case-by-case basis, always respecting any insurance, association, or local ordinance restrictions. For medically necessary animals, no specific written permission from the landlord is required. However, a non-refundable pet fee and/or an additional pet deposit may be applicable, except for medically necessary animals, where such fees are waived as per Federal and State law. All pets are subject to a pet deposit and a non-refundable cleaning fee to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our community.

Household Pets

If you have a household pet, such as a dog, cat, bird, hamster, rabbit, snake, or fish tank, we require an application process. This is to ensure that we have all the necessary information to accommodate your pet properly. Please consult with the property manager for any specific queries regarding your pet type.

Assistance Animals

We provide a secure and HIPAA-compliant process for submitting reasonable accommodation requests for assistance animals, including service animals, emotional support animals, and companion animals. This process ensures that your request aligns with HUD’s Fair Housing Act guidelines, and there is no charge for submitting an accommodation request. We encourage you to be familiar with local, state, and federal laws when submitting your request.

Fees

Our pet policy includes a $300 refundable pet deposit and a $300 non-refundable cleaning fee, which covers all pets in the home. We have a limit of 2 cats and 2 dogs per household and do not charge pet rent under any circumstances.

Dogs considered “Aggressive Breeds” by the unit owner’s insurance policy may require extra insurance at the cost of the resident, and may be restricted by said policy.

Violations

We expect all residents to be responsible pet owners. This includes cleaning up after your pets, ensuring they are under control at all times, and adhering to our leash policy when outside. Any damage or cleaning required due to your pet(s) will be your responsibility. Should your pet become a nuisance, you may be asked to remove them from the premises. Please be aware that neglect or abuse of pets as defined by WA State Humane Society Laws is not tolerated and is subject to legal action.

We understand that pets are an important part of your family, and we strive to create a welcoming environment for them while ensuring the comfort and safety of all our residents. If you have any questions or concerns about our pet and animal policy, please feel free to reach out to our management team.
