James Marszalek, Owner (Commander)
I'm an Army veteran turned Real Estate Agent; I served 7 years as a Long Range Recon Specialist, and deployed to the sandy deserts of Iraq. My experiences in the military shaped a lot of who I am today. I believe in honor, respect, and transparent honesty. Aside from the military, I have experience as an IT professional, a home re-modeler, a commercial truck driver, and a business owner.
I moved to Washington in 1990 from St, Paul, MN, where I was born. Since then, I've lived in Tacoma, University Place, Kent, Renton, and Spokane. I've traveled all over the US, and the world; however, I will always call the Pacific Northwest home. I love the outdoors, and Washington offers tons of great camping, hiking, and exploring. The other side of Washington that I love is the food. From food truck festivals to such a vast selection of unique and amazing restaurants, Washington has something to satisfy every craving.
I'm an avid motorcycle rider, and anyone who shares that passion knows how fantastic exploring Washington becomes on 2 wheels. Looking to mix my passion of motorcycles with helping fellow veterans, I joined the Brothers in Arms Motorcycle Club, who's sole mission is to support veterans in need, and reestablish brotherhood often lost when you leave the Active Duty world. As a vet who has been in need in the past, I take helping vets very seriously. It kills me to see my brothers and sisters in pain. When our failing VA care system lets veterans fall through the cracks, we lose heros. To make my impact on this issue, I donate 5% of all commissions to vetted Washington veteran service organizations who are providing crucial services to current and former members of our Armed Forces. No Man Left Behind.
I served my country honorably; now I'd be honored to serve you.
Mat Spackman (Thurston County Commander)
Hello! My name is Mat Spackman. I was born and raised in Salem, Oregon and lived there until I was 18 years old. As an adult I lived in Raleigh, NC where I was an HVAC Technician and building automation expert. It was also in Raleigh that I met my wife of 8 years.
Next, I lived in Minneapolis, MN where I worked as a building engineer for Cushman and Wakefield, which is a worldwide leader in commercial real estate and property management. In 2016, I finally made it full circle and returned to the Pacific Northwest, picking up a house in Orting, WA. My real estate experience has been mostly in commercial management, but now I have turned my attention to full time residential sales.
My passion is helping people navigate this tough real estate market and helping buyers and sellers solve their housing problems. What problem can I solve for you? Welcome to Operation: Red Dot!
Autumn Allen (North King County Commander)
I am a Rice University Alumni and have a creative and technical passion for everything I do. By trade I am a mechanical engineer, classically-trained musician, and enjoy Latin/ballroom dancing and choreography. Family and my Australian Shepherd, Shadow, are my pride and joy. I love to swim, bike, hike, and explore. I have recently delved into archery as well.
I previously worked for Boeing for 5 years until 2017, and have been a real estate investor for the last 5 years. I have participated in hundreds of transactions and am always a problem solver who is focused on meeting the needs of my clients. Whether it’s stopping a foreclosure and getting an owner back on their feet, or listing homes in the most competitive of neighborhoods, I am fierce and have a down to earth balance that my clients really love and trust. Real estate for me, means that I have the opportunity every day to bring value to the community and really make a direct, positive change in people’s lives.
Devin Miklavcic (Real Estate Broker)
Hi, my name is Devin Miklavcic. At a young age I moved to Washington because my parents were in the military. Coming from a military family, it brings me great joy to be a part of Operation Red Dot and be able to give back to those who serve us.
I love the Puget Sound area and the activities it has to offer. I enjoy Scuba Diving in our local waters and hiking to exploring the region’s beauty. I have fun playing disk golf and gaming. As a life-long learner, I love to be in the company of creative thinkers. Travelling to the corners of the world is on my bucket list, to do and see everything and anything that I can.
I am excited about everything real estate has to offer. Over the last couple years, I’ve realized that I love to learn, explore, and connect with others. It is rewarding helping people find the home of their dreams. Ultimately, I want to help people create memories that will last forever and form long lasting relationships with my clients.
Kesha Washington (Buyer/Renter Agent)
I am a dedicated, hardworking, and positive person. I come from a technical industry, testing cellular phone coverage across the US for the last 4+ years. I have a degree in accounting. I was the first in my family to purchase a home, which was a huge accomplishment for me. I want to be able to show you that buying a home is not only obtainable, but much easier that you might have thought. I have two family members that served our country during WW2. Because of their service, it is imperative for me to make sure that our service men and women have the proper tools and knowledge to make an informative decision when purchasing, renting, or selling real estate.
My favorite after-work activities include cooking, dancing, and trying to sing karaoke. I host family dinners at least once a month. Bringing family together is one of the most important things to me. I have a great inner circle of friends and two amazing cats, “Cheese” and “Kitty”.
I am so excited to share your real estate adventure with you, let the journey begin!
Barb Wakefield (Admin Assistant, Lieutenant)
As Washingtonian native, I have been in the Puget Sound area the majority of my life. I have owned and managed residential properties, multi-family properties, as well as Mobile Home Parks for over 18 years, doing the oversight of day to day and long-range planning for acquisition and management of residential housing and mobile home park communities. This has allowed me to entertain and resolve a very wide array of issues relating to housing law, tenant relations, marketing and management of the business. On occasion I have acquire a property to “flip”, doing the necessary repairs and improvements.
I have a passion for the outdoors and nature. I love to hike, kayak, and snow ski. I am drawn to the natural beauty of our state. I experiment with photography with a focus mainly on the beauty of nature, capturing mostly flora, fauna, textures of the earth and landscapes.
I am a proud parent of three grown children and have a few grandchildren that hang the moon for me. I am lucky to have them all still living in our beautiful state and enjoy the times when we are all together.
